Bottled as a thank you to our Brand Ambassadors and their clients in Singapore, Germany, USA and few others, we were delighted to be offer such a rare whisky to their clients. A way of saying a big thank you for all the hard work and effort on Dramfool’s behalf over many years. HOWEVER, its hardly fair not to let our valued clients have some access to his whisky too!!
This single cask has never appeared on the website, and has only been available via the Brad Ambassadors and at a couple of festivals. We have very limited numbers left as full sized 70cl bottles and a very small number of 10cl bottles too.
Tasting notes from Jim McEwan
Lochindaal 2010
Cask Type: First Fill Bourbon. 62.3%
Colour: Light Topaz
Body: Beautiful texture highlighting the skill of the still men working away while the world sleeps
Aromas: Brilliant Islay opening, peat smoke, coastal Flora & Fauna, barley grown on the Atlantic coast. Then gently the mellowness of the oak cradles the spirit and its Hebridean character resulting in an olfactory journey to the Island of Distilleries!
Palate: The peat smoke is the frame that holds a beautiful taste experience. A hint of pear & passion fruit encapsulated in a cradle of oak. The sweet crispiness of the barley works superbly with the light spice flavours from the casks time in Kentucky. The texture is like honey, lingering long and satisfying.
A rare & classic Islay distilled by a talented team of traditional distillers.
