Glenmarvellous 2010
Cask Type: PX Barrique.
Abv - 58.7% Colour: Beautiful Medium Amber
Aromas: The bountiful aromatics offer a unique olfactory experience. This balance is brilliant with the wine hints along with subsequent scents of sun dried barley, malt extract, Spanish oak resin, cinnamon, spiced apple, plump ripe red fruit, vanilla and a hint of honey. The PX Sherried oak resin is seducing the spirit. It’s a compelling coming together of Scotland and Spain. At this age the quality and character of the spirit and the creators are as one. The wine maker & the Distiller have created a brilliant round distillate!
Palate: Wow!! This is a rather special taste experience. It’s absolutely fabulous. The crispness of the sweet malted barley, the PX passion, the strength & character, the oak & unique flavours from one of the worlds great wines plus time has created this masterpiece. At this age, its a handsome spirit full of pride and passion and this mirrors the traditions of the Speysider’s who have the character and DNA that makes this single malt special. The PX influence adds a touch of magic to a much revered Son of Scotland!
