: The 6th release from Dramfool is an 8 year old Port Charlotte, from the Bruichladdich Distillery, fully matured in 2nd fill Rum barrel #1467/2009.
Bottled in July 2017 un-chill filtered and at cask strength 62.7% it yielded 218 bottles
Tasting Notes:
Nose neat: Sweet and slightly fruity. A smoky oiliness with pencil sharpening’s and a slight floral note
Taste neat: Quite fiery with lashings of peat smoke and a dry finish. Threads of banana and muscovado sugar hint at the influence of the rum barrel.
Nose Diluted: Baked bread, maybe banana bread, honeycomb, Refreshers, very sweet with stewed bananas.
Taste diluted: Very sweet with peat smoke, perfumed boiled sweets and banana fritters.
