The story of the Ghost of Kyiv began during the first days of war, when severe air combats were in action in the skies over Ukraine. A legend began of a Ukrainian fighter pilot who was said to have won six air-to-air combats in the skies over Kyiv during the first 30 hours of Kyiv offensive.
His exploits gained him the name “The Ghost of Kyiv” guarding the skies around Kyiv his exploits have become legendary. His image has helped to boost the morale of Ukrainians and inspired the faith in the Victory. Today the story of “The Ghost” is far beyond a story of one flying ace: all Ukrainian fighter-pilots have become a legend as true Heroes defending the skies!
