Dramfool are delighted to continue our support with WhiskyUA (www.WhiskyUA.com) and their important fundraising work for humanitarian charities in Ukraine. The first two bottlings were a sell out success and the funds raised have been distributed on the ground where needed most.
The 4th bottling in the series is a Tullibardine finished for 11 months in a red wine barrique, yielding only 348 bottles. Bottled to celebrate Ukraine’s long fight and staunch belief in their freedom it was originally released on 24th August 2022 to celebrate the day 31 years ago Ukraine originally declared its Independence.
Ukraine’s way to Independence had been a long one starting in 1991 with the Act of Declaration of Independence of Ukraine. They have demonstrated that Ukraine’s established itself as a sovereign state, that Ukrainians are capable of consolidating democratic values and defend their freedom, sovereignty and territorial integrity..
Ukrainians have paid heavily during their fight for the sovereignty even before the current invasion and war. This is why the words “'Ukraine has not yet perished” sung with such vgor in the national anthem are becoming particularly important. Today these words take on even greater meaning when again their sovereignty I under direct threat. As Ukrainian the world over and our friends at WhiskyUA say of their beloved homeland “It hasn’t perished yet and it won’t! We’re strong and alive! We continue to move forward! This is the only possibility to win and to make our tomorrow better!”
