Dramfool Ardmore 2008, 16 years old, Bourbon Barrel #708520
Dramfool Ardmore 2008, 16 years old, Bourbon Barrel #708520
A new distillery to the Dramfool line-up, we are delighted with this peated Highland malt. Its smoky notes normally coming with more wood and charcoal flavours, this example brings the classic Highland smoke in combination with a little bit of Islay!
Fully matured in a bourbon cask which previously housed the famous Prohibition-rules-bending Islay single malt, all these layers combine to create a complex and fascinating whisky.
Highland meets Islay in a wonderful way!
This whisky has matured for 16 years in Bourbon Barrel #708520, yielding only 129 bottles at cask strength of 53.3%
