Where did the year go?! Feis Ile 2025 has crept around and caught us by surprise yet again but thankfully not without a suitable bottling.

We can now, finally, say we have bottled every spirit expression distilled by Bruichladdich, completing the set with this ultra-rare Rhinns. Peated to 30PPM,this has matured its whole 13 years in a first-fill bourbon barrel. The subtle and different peat that comes from this spirit sits well within the sweetness of bourbon which compliments rather than combats the flavour. As we learned from Jim McEwan – under whose guide this was of course distilled – the bourbon cask compliments distillery character, not obscuring it, so subtlety and flavour still shine through.

Our official Feis Ile 2025 release the cask released 237 bottles at natural cask strength of 57.8%.

Tasting notes by Dramfool :

Nose Neat – Sweet vanilla, pencil sharpenings, fresh Gala apples, honey, golden syrup and peat smoke.

Taste Neat – Peat smoke, apples, hint of Germolene, Bazooka Joes in the aftertaste – a clean Port Charlotte!

Nose Diluted – Much fruitier with loads of green fruit, Soor Plooms, almost no peat smoke.

Taste Diluted – Very sweet with green boiled sweets, pencil sharpenings, hint of Germolene, root beer and quite creamy and luscious in texture.!
