The 16th release from Dramfool is a Port Charlotte from Bruichladdich. Distilled in June 2002 and matured in a first fill bourbon barrel, bottled in July 2018 un-chill-filtered at cask strength of 60.5% which yielded 221 bottles.
Tasting notes
Nose neat: Very sweet with butterscotch, lemon, Germolene, iodine, barley sugar and peat smoke.
Taste neat: Surprisingly smooth with honey, green fruit, icing sugar, sherbet lemons and lots of medicinal and smoky notes in the finish.
Nose diluted: Still very sweet with honey, lemon, iodine and more medicinal and smoky notes.
Taste diluted: Lots of icing sugar, sherbet lemons, peat smoke, Germolene, hot wood, pencil sharpenings, sea spray and iodine.
